The Dialogue Diaries
For my Senior Design Thesis I wanted to capture and visual illustrate a very trying two month period in my life. During the summer between my Sophomore and Junior years of college I underwent a surgery to fix my underbite. The surgery was a long time in the making and, preparation for the day began in about eight grade. Because the surgery required my jaw to be broken, I was wired shut for the following two months (or all summer). This book or stream of consciousness is a documentation of conversation, thoughts, and feelings during this period.

And here in lie the collection of these handwritten notes, several notebooks worth, all filled to the brim with everything in between pent-up emotion and stoic, silent Zen. Dialogue Diaries is a truly experimental, fresh approach to literature–what, essentially, is creative nonfiction, maybe memoir, and when taken for what it is, this book will read like a stream-of-consciousness sort of quarter-life autobiography.
