Happy Birthday
Happy Birthday, the app, was started in the Spring of '14, when a designer, writer & illustrator came together in hopes of creating a new way to experience reading. This app was developed around a chronicle of short stories written by Ryan Kelly (under the pen-name Owen Calloway). The app was to reflect the tone of Kelly's writing in the user experience, design and illustration. Because the app was taking traditional reading to a technological platform, paper textures in the design and illustrations were utilized to bridge this gap. A promo video was then created to promote the key functions of the app. The end goal of this project is to eventually raise enough funds to self-publish the app to provide Kelly's writing to a wider, tech-savy audience.
